control room
The Vincent Van Haaff designed control room is layed out in a "design follows function" format with flexibility to accomodate different working styles. The racks are kept low to accomodate additional equipment and the ProTools systems can be placed at the beginning or end of the rack to suit personal choices. The natural wood surfaces along with the stained glass windows and the infinitely variable lighting systems make the atmosphere very comfortable to work in.
There is a clear line of vision from the control room, through the center tracking room, into the back room.
Control Room A outboard equipment, in the "right rack", features: 16 Neve Mic Pre's (four) 1073s, (four) 1084s, (two) 1081s, (two) 31105s, and a "Mercenary Audio" rack of (four) 1073 Mic Pre's with DI's (for easy high quality control room inserts), there are (ten) API Mic Pre's, (two) API 550A EQ's, (two) 550B EQ's, (two) 554 Eq's, (two) 553 Eq's, (two) 560 10 Band Graphic Eq's and a Brent Averill API Mic Pre/DI, there is available a rack of (eigth) Focusrite ISA 85110 Mic Pre/EQ's, (two) Focusrite ISA 115 Mic Pre/ EQ's, Summit Dual tube Mic Pre TPA-200, (two) Teletronix LA2A's, (two) Urei black face 1176's, (two) Urei LA3As, (two) DBX 160s, DBX Stereo 162, Summit TLA-100A, Summit DCL-200 dual compressor limiter, (four) Pultec EQP1A3 Tube Program EQs, Drawmer DL 241.
The "left rack" of Control Room A features a "Dual Machine" TC 5000, TC 2290, "Dual Machine" Eventide Orville, Eventide: DSP 4000, H-3000S, H-3000 Harmonizers, Massenburg 8200 Parametric EQ, (two) Lexicon 480L's, (two) Lexicon PCM 42 delays, Lexicon PCM 70, , Manley Stereo "Variable-MU", (two) Distressors with British mode, (two) DBX 160X's, (four) Klark-Teknik DN 300 Graphic EQs, (two) DBX 166 compressors, Aphex Dominator II, (two) Drawmer DS 201 Dual gates, Aphex Expander Gate, Drawmer M500, DBX 900 dual de-essor, Pultec 4 ch. tube summing amp, and B.A.S.E., Denon DN-C680, Alesis Masterlink ML9600, BBE 862, DBX 120 sub bass, NTI EQ3.
